Introduction from new DDC Programme Josh Spratt

10th September 2018

For those who are wondering who this is, my name is Josh Spratt and I'd like to introduce myself to you all as the new DDC for programme for North Oxfordshire. As you may have seen prior to the end of the Summer term, Claire has stepped down as DDC and I am in the process of taking over from her excellent work over the past several years to hopefully help continue the progress made. In order to meet as many of you as possible, I have arranged to have a Cub sectional leaders meeting on the 25th of Sept at 1930 at Horley in Taurus, and Beavers Leaders on 30th October. I appreciate for those in Bicester that it is a bit of a journey but hopefully it will be worthwhile for you all. If there is interest I am willing to schedule a second one at the end of October for those in the Bicester area so I can see as many of you as possible. Please also consider this an invite to your sectional assistants and to GSL's. Hopefully this way, the more people I get to meet the easier things become! I am sure you have many questions you'd like to put to me and hopefully I shall have some answers for you. I intend to get ideas for events you would like to see in the calendar, iron out any issues you have with delivering your programme while also bringing me up to speed with whats working well for your groups in order to keep getting the young people through their top awards and giving them some excellent experiences in the process. If you could reply to this email so I have a rough idea as to who to expect that would be brilliant. I appreciate its only a couple of weeks away but wanted to get something together sooner rather than later. If there are any pressing concerns then please do not hesitate to contact me over this email and I will do my best to get answers to you. My best regards to you all. I hope you all had an excellent summer and are looking forward to the new term ahead. Yours in Scouting Josh Spratt
