Cubs
Our Cub Scout Pack provides fun and adventure to 24 Cubs aged between 8 and 10½ years old. Whilst the emphasis in this Section remains on learning through having fun and playing games, during this time the Cubs are encouraged to take on more responsibility, develop their leadership skills and learn a wide range of traditional Scouting skills and crafts.
Camps take on new levels of excitement at Cubs, here Cubs can get a taste of everyday adventure and partake in a wide variety of activities with climbing, abseiling, archery, and high ropes being perennial favourites.
Throughout the year we follow a balanced program of activities, designed to enable Cubs who complete a full two and a half years with us to earn their Chief Scouts Silver Award before moving up to our Scout Troop. All of the activities we organise are carefully planned and linked to key Scouting skills, Cubs' achievements are regularly marked with the award of activity badges.
Meetings are held every Tuesday evening during term time from 17:30 to 19:00 at the Salvation Army Hall, Hart Place, Glory Farm.
