  • District Youth Commissioner

    I am pleased to announce that Stephen Marsden has been appointed as the first District Youth Commissioner for North Oxfordshire Scouts. In this new role, Stephen will champion youth-shaped Scouting from Beavers through to Network, and ensure that the opinions of our youth members help to inform decision-making at a District level. Stephen has been a youth member in all the sections himself, and since turning 18 has been an Assistant Cub Leader at 1stThe Sibfords. We are now looking to involve more 18-25 year olds in this initiative, and we are specifically looking for individuals to help us in the following: Improving the transition from Scouts to Explorers.Promoting Scouting in the local community.Setting up a District Youth Forum.Developing programme ideas that help our members to shape their Scouting experience. We are interested in hearing from volunteers that would be keen to support this work on a one-off basis, through to taking on a role such as a Deputy District Youth...
